About PsychOffice.net
The idea for PsychOffice.net was conceived in 2003 by Rosemarie Gardella Gates, LCSW. Just starting her private practice career and facing a $100 increase in office rent, she was frustrated with the inadequacy of resources for psychotherapy office searches at that time: newspaper classified ads, index card postings on clinic bulletin boards, etc. Remember that? A veteran of the corporate world, she combined her marketing experience (with Prodigy Services Company, an internet startup in the 80s/90s) and her knowledge of the world of psychotherapists to come up with a more efficient way for therapists to find each other and meet this neglected need. And so, PsychOffice.net was born and turned 20 in 2024. Our hope is that we continue to meet the office needs of therapists in a constantly changing world.
