Welcome to The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW), an award-winning nonprofit creative workspace in Chelsea! ATW offers an inviting, serene, and human-centered environment ideal for psychologists, therapists, and mental health practices seeking private session space or day-office rentals. Our private Blue Room (11x14) is optimized for 1:1 therapy, couples counseling, small group sessions, or telehealth, featuring high-speed secure Wi-Fi, air conditioning, modular seating, a whiteboard, and a flat-screen monitor. Designed to feel therapeutic rather than cold or institutional, the room boasts warm wood floors, soft lighting from lamps and sconces, and artwork, complemented by a spacious reception waiting area, full elevator access, and private restrooms. To support clients who may feel anxious, ATW staff and volunteers—fluent in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Indian languages—are specially trained in trauma-informed sensitivity to greet every guest with genuine empathy, warmth, and respect. Proceeds from your booking directly support ATW’s arts education programs for children experiencing homelessness and neurodiverse youth, with custom discounts available for recurring weekly blocks, daytime weekday rentals, and non-profit practitioners (requires a signed usage agreement and refundable Square deposit).
